How often should I update my ICP?

Review your ICP every quarter. Update it whenever you launch a new product, enter a new market, or notice a pattern shift in your best customers. A stale ICP leads to stale leads.

Can I have more than one ICP?

Yes. Most companies have 2–3 ICPs, especially if they serve different verticals or company sizes. Run separate campaigns for each. Don't blend them into one list.

What's the difference between an ICP and a lead list?

Your ICP is the description of who to target. Your lead list is the actual set of companies and contacts that match that description. The ICP comes first; the list comes from it.

How many companies should my ICP include?

Aim for 3,000–10,000 companies when starting out. Fewer than 1,000 limits your sending volume. More than 50,000 usually means your ICP isn't specific enough. You can warm up your sending domain before launch while you refine the list.

Does my ICP change by channel?

The core ICP stays the same across channels, but different channels may perform better with different segments. Cold email often works best for mid-market; LinkedIn for enterprise. Test and adjust your ICP tiers by channel.
